* Mike Kenney Scholarship Fundraiser - Friday 9/11/09 Bella Vita Pizza Restaurant will donate $1 for every pizza sold to the Matt Kenney fund.  Matt was a former player of Prospect LL that was tragically killed 1 1/2 years ago and this fund was set up in his memory 

* Baseball Camps

- New England Baseball Academy in Waterbury is accepting registrations for the 2009-2010 Winter Hitting League. Sessions are 11/1-12/31 and 1/1-2/28. Email was sent to board members and coaches

- The Hit Club in Thomaston are sponsoring an eight week clinic to improve bat speed, ball velocity, base stealing mechanics and reduction of shoulder injuries. The 28 clinics are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays.from 9/28-11/21

- PLL also recommends Mike O'Keefe's Baseball Academy(Hamden) and Ultimate Sports (Wallingford)

* Fall Ball. We have approximately 80 players for our Fall Ball season. We have one 12u coached by Stan Bazan and Pete Rek, two 10u teams coached by Randy Allen and Bill Linnell. They will be playing in the District 3, Valley League. Next we have two in house instructional teams with Jack Geary and Darren Bedard coaching an 8u group of players and Paul Belcher and Brian Ragozzine coaching a 7u group of players. I ask for support by board members, coaches and parents to come to the games to cheer on our players.

* Coaches need to have fields prepped and lined prior to games

* We will need volunteers to work in the snack bar during the Fall Ball season 

* Fall Ball Valley League schedule will be on the website, prospectbaseball.org

* Fields need alot of work. All of the infields need to be raked, mowed. Thank you to Don Ensero( Sr field, Both Majors and T-Ball field) and John Dyckman(AA field) for raking the fields. However alot of work remains to get the Ensero Field, AA and T-Ball fields ready for games.

* Field maintenance will be scheduled for 9/19 at 9am to perform repairs to complex.

* Volunteer Picnic is this Saturday. We will need people to show up early to set up tables and the tent cover. Ceremonies start at approximately 1pm. The Event Committee has planned some special events.

* Nomination of new board by President elect Pete Rek. Pete will nominate his choices to the new board which starts in October. There is a two year term. Voting is based on members who attended at least six general meeting from September 08-August 09.
